music producer / Halblech - Bavaria - Germany
My mother gave me a home organ when I was eleven years old. I started taking lessons immediately and then switched to the piano after two years. I started taking classical piano lessons, and after another five years I moved on to jazz. From the very beginning, when I was at school, I had my own bands. In order to be able to make recordings, I gradually started building up my recording studio using analog 4-track, 8-track and 24-track tape machines.
If you want to put it that way, the Kalimba B5 was basically my "gateway drug"... I found it in the Obertonhaus in Munich and was thrilled. The discovery of the Sansula was then only a matter of time.
I played the Sansula every evening for years as bedtime music for my daughters. I love its magical sound and found playing the Sansula calming and inspiring from the very beginning. Because of my interest in film music, it was a natural choice for me to use it in my music productions too.
Yes and no. She has been practicing the Sansula theme for a film score that she has just finished, but when she started recording in the studio it became clear that it was still too early for that. She is nine years old and has just started taking guitar lessons.
To describe Tobias Meggle accurately, certain words cannot be avoided: intuition, feeling, professionalism and structure... to name just a few that characterize his versatility and passion for music. It is not just about technique for him, but rather about capturing the music in as many different ways as possible and thus ultimately giving the listener a gift. A gift born of skill and passion - a perfect mix, and always "different and new". Tobias Meggle took organ and piano lessons from the age of 11 and his heart began to beat for music. He has remained loyal to the keyboard instrument to this day and has worked on numerous projects and CD and vinyl releases as a keyboardist, composer and producer. Tobias Meggle maintained his recording studio in Munich until 1998. From then on, he moved to the countryside: the studio and equipment were relocated and Meggle opened his "Hinterland Studio". At the same time, he set up his own label "Hinterland Records" in Halblech. Further CD and vinyl releases followed as "sandboy". In 2011, the focus shifted to film music, where the focus was once again on bringing images to life through music. In his work in the studio, the producer places great value on a warm, transparent and natural sound and supports his customers in the technical and musical realization of their wishes. "Music lives through the feeling with which it is created"... this is roughly how one could describe Tobias Meggle's work.
